The discipline is paying off

Only 10% of podcasters have published over 100 episodes.

I’m halfway there and have already hit the top 20% of followed podcasts (all while only having one guest episode ever).

My philosophy:

Take action violently in the things you know you should be doing, but be patient in expanding operations.

Alex Morgan is an extremely underrated businesswoman.

I love how she makes big moves and lets them slide under the radar (I’ve even paying attention though).

She’s slowly building an empire as her soccer career winds down.

Business Jargon

There is a great quote from Nigel Eccles, the co-founder of FanDuel, who said “when you build your first business, 80% of your time is wasted and 20% is well spent”.

This is why it’s extremely important to find the right mentors, advisors, investors, board members, employees, etc.

Nigel's billion dollar fantasy - The Irish News

It’s better to learn from other people’s mistakes than from your own experiences.

For example, there’s a big difference between:

  1. raising $500,000

  2. raising $500,000 strategically

I’ve seen so many companies make the mistake of taking cash from anyone (which usually doesn’t turn out well).
